It's my first time
If you’re trying yoga for the first time, I would prefer to lend you a mat to see if yoga is for you before committing to buying one.
Just let me know beforehand if you don’t have a mat, I can temporary provide one for you.
Dress casual
Something comfortable that doesn’t restrict your movement, maybe leggings or joggers and t shirt -bring a jumper too to keep warm during relaxation
Foot loose
Yoga is practiced barefooted. The advantage of being of being barefoot during yoga, will help us to feel grounded, help us to increase our balance and stability. It also gives us the opportunity to stretch, flex and strengthen muscles in our feet. So, shoes must be removed before entering
the class
A little guidance
Generally normal socks tend to be slippery and unsafe whilst gliding from one pose to anotherSocks can be worn until we reach our mats and then removed, but for those who feel self-conscious, or have medical conditions it may be worth investing in some anti slip socks which have tiny grips underneath the soles.
Session Timing
The class starts at 10.00am for one hour until 11.00am every Monday.
Health questionanaire
If you haven’t received an email or haven’t
been able to return the questionnaire, don’t worry - I have some printed copies, so please give yourself an extra ten mins before class to fill it in.
Practicing with and open mind
Pranayama, mediation, chants, breathwork and Sanskrit maybe things that you have not experience before but that’s ok. practicing new skill are a great tool and show a deeper knowledge of what yoga can offer and enhance your practice.
It’s like marmite you going to embrace the opportunity or going make you feel awkward at any time if don’t wish to participant that’s fine you can sit there in silence. Only you know what works best for your body, mind, and spirit.
Post practice
Sanitisers spray will be provided to clean your mats before and after each class to stop the spread of dirt, impurities & risk of contamination.
